I admire my friend Anita. Anita lives on West 96 Street I have known her for 30 years. She gave me my first job. I stayed on that job for 1 year.
She calls me everyday and asks me about my health because I have diabetes.
Last year, I had the flu and a high fever. I told my daughter on the phone that I didn’t feel good. I went to sleep and I went into a coma because of my diabetes. My daughter kept calling me every hour, but I didn’t wake up. I was on the floor for 18 hours.
Then Anita came to my apartment and found me on the floor.
She shook me and I did not wake up. She called the ambulance. They came and gave me insulin. Then I woke up slowly and asked the EMT, “Who opened the door for you?” They said, “Your friend opened the door.” They took me to the Metropolitan Hospital and Anita stayed with me with until 7 pm. They kept me in the hospital for 5 days. Anita came to see me every single day!
She is my best friend in the world. I love her and I admire her, after God because she saved my life!
